Kaleidoscope Inn Amenities. During your stay, enjoy all of the amenities offered by this elegant historic Bed and Breakfast....imagine yourself relaxing in the voluminous common rooms, reading in the welcoming library, savoring a cup of tea on the spacious wrap-around veranda, experiencing serenity while strolling the acre of lush gardens, practicing croquet on the lawn, or sharing a private candle-lit dinner for two in one of the gazebos.

Rooms. All inside the main house are beautifully restored with high ceilings, wood trim, transoms, and stained glass windows. All rooms are air conditioned & come with a private bath, alarm clock, hair dryer, new luxury mattresses, Egyptian cotton (summer) or flannel (winter) sheets, down comforter, and colorful quilts. Our suites have TV/DVD. Computer with high speed internet access is availble for guest use and we also have wireless web access. Stay 4 days or more and receive a 10% discount off the room rates.

Complimentary Amenities. Many complimentary amenities are included in your stay with the Kaleidoscope Inn. Combined with our very reasonable prices, these free amenities make your stay with us a real bargain - which is particularly helpful in this economy!

The Monarchs are Leaving!

These huge beautiful migrating butterflys have started flying away from our local Butterfly Groves. They are down to 4 thousant in number (2/8/10) and will likely be completely gone by the end of February. In winter, tens of thousands are at the grove and when the temperature is over 57 degrees they fly around like snowflakes! They will be here through the winter. February is your last chance until November to see these amazing creatures while here on the Central Coast.

Romantic Get-Away Package....includes 2 Nights Lodging, a Fabulous Full Breakfast each morning, $50 toward Dinner at a Great Ocean-Front Restaurant, Wine or Champagne in your room, and a beautiful Floral Boquet. All for only $385.

YOUR Special Package…Some of our guests have asked about adding or subtracting elements of our established B&B Packages. YES, we can always customize a package to meet your particular needs. PLUS, we have established this fully "customizable" package! Decide the number of nights you would like to stay with us (minimum of 2), and then select as many activities that you would like included from the following options: Dinners, Lunches, Hearst Castle tour, Hot Tub in the woods, Massages, rounds of Golf, Kayaking, Hiking, Whale Watching, Manicure, Pedicure, Facial, other Spa services, Theater, Wine or Champagne, Flower Bouquet, and Winery Tours. Then give us a call or email and we will give you a total package price for YOUR Special Package. As with all of our packages, a full breakfast is included every morning!

Theater Package....includes 2 Nights Lodging, a Fabulous Full Breakfast each morning, $50 toward Dinner at a Great Restaurant, and tickets for a Theatrical Production at either the SLO Little Theater, the Oceano Melodrama, the Central Coast Shakespeare Festival, or the PCPA Theater. All for only $365.

Spa Package...includes 2 Nights Lodging, a Fabulous Full Breakfast each morning, a and Two 1 Hour Massages + use of other spa amenities at this luxurious local day spa (hot tub & steam room). All for only $455.

Standard Golf Vacation Package....includes 2 Nights Lodging, a Fabulous Full Breakfast each morning, one round of golf for 2 at stunning Cypress Ridge Golf Course, the brand new Monarch Dunes Golf Club located at The Woodlands in Nipomo, fabulous Blacklake Golf Resort in Nipomo or breathtaking Avila Beach Golf Resort in Avila Beach, and $50 toward Dinner at a Great Restaurant. All for only $485. This price includes your golf cart.

Wine Tasting (in Private Sedan)....includes 2 Nights Lodging, a Fabulous Full Breakfast each morning and a professionally Chauffeured 4 Hour Tour (in a Towncar) of the wineries of your choice - we provide a brochure/map of nearby wineries to choose from. (please keep in mind that the driver is a professional Chauffeur, not a wine expert.The staff at each of the wineries are the wine/vineyard experts.) All for only $530. Options: 1) Add extra hour for $65, 2) Upgrade to 6-seater Limousine for $70, 3) Upgrade to 6-seater Limo + add extra hour for $155.

Adventure Package...includes 2 Nights Lodging, a Fabulous Full Breakfast each morning, a Provision Basket of Trail Munchies to sustain you during your two day adventure. Enjoy Sea Kayaking along the ocean cliffs, a Hike the Pacho Coast Trail (or similar coastal trail) to the Lighthouse in the hills overlooking the bay, and $30 toward a delicious Lunch on the Avila Beach Pier or on a cliff overlooking the ocean in Shell Beach. All for only $350.

Spread out in this large, open corner room with windows facing north and east. King sleigh bed, antique armoir, sitting area, large private bath with shower.

Jasmine Retreat

Unwind in this spacious, warm, east facing room. Features antique high-backed carved oak queen bed, sitting area, private en suite bath with shower.

Enchanted Rose

Bask in the afternoon sunlight as it streams into this romantic room. Includes queen brass bed, private bath with tub and shower.

The Cottage

This stone cottage, some call it the Hobbit House, located in the garden area, exudes country charm. Features 2-foot thick solid stone walls, a "green roof" bursting with morning glory blooms, queen bed, garden / gazebo views, and a private bath with shower (located just inside the main house).

Master Suite

This luxuriously spacious suite includes a beautiful roomy bedroom with a queen sized bed and a large sitting area, plus an extra large separate living room with cable television & DVD player, and private en suite bath with tub and shower.

Our House Policies….

- Check in is after 3:00 pm. Check ins are available after 8pm - just give us advance notice. Check out is 11:00 am.
-There is no fee if cancellation is received more than 7 days prior to scheduled arrival date. Holiday, special event and mulitple room bookings require 30 day notice. On shorter notice, the following will be charged:

• Holiday, special event and mulitple room bookings will be billed for two night's stay per room.
• Other bookings will be billed for one night's stay.

-Bed tax of 9% will be added to room rates.
-Room rates include full breakfast and are based on single or double occupancy. Additional person: $50.
-Reservations are secured by credit card. Final payment may be made by cash, Visa, or Master Card.
-Rates are subject to change without notice.
-Smoking is permitted in all outside areas; for guest comfort, smoking is not allowed in the house.
-A TV/VCR is located in the library. With the exception of the Master Suite, there are no TVs in the guest rooms.
-For the comfort of our guests, pets are allowed in the cottage only.

Cancellation Policy - Additional Details

B&B Rooms - There is no fee if cancellation notice is received more than 7 days prior to scheduled arrival date. Holiday, special event and multiple room bookings require 30 day notice. On shorter notice, the following will be charged:

• Holiday and special event bookings will be billed for two night's stay.
• Multiple room bookings will be billed for one night's stay for each room.
• Other bookings will be billed for one night's stay.

Packages - certain package elements that we reserve for you with other service providers are non refundable or incur cancellation fees. These packages and the associated cancellation fees are:

• Hearst Castle Package - Tours that are rescheduled or cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled tour are charged a $14 fee. We will have to bill this amount to your credit card.
• Theater Package - Most theater tickets are non refundable once booked, resulting in a $40 cancellation fee to the Inn. If your room is cancelled within the 7-day window, we will have to put this charge on your credit card.
• Rose Bouquets - If you cancel a Romance Package less than 2 days before your scheduled check in, we have to charge the cost of the rose bouquet, which is $50.
• Spa Package - If you cancel a Spa Package less than 2 days before your scheduled check in, we have to charge the full amount of the massages, which is $190. This is the amount that the spa charges the Inn.
• Girlfriends Package - If you cancel a Girlfriends Package less than 2 days before your scheduled check in, we have to charge the full amount of the facials, manicure and pedicure, which is $190. This is the amount that the salons charge the Inn.
• Wine Tasting Package - If you cancel a Wine Tasting Package less than 7 days before your scheduled check in, we have to charge you the two hour town car cancellation fee, which is $110. Or, if you had rented the larger limo, $140. This is the amount that the limo company charges the Inn.
