COVID-19 Response:

The Kaleidoscope Inn & Gardens takes great pride in maintaining the highest standards in cleanliness and hygiene. In these uncertain times we want to reassure all of our guests that we are taking additional measures for your safety. These include sanitizing the Inn, especially public areas, each morning and throughout the day as needed with disinfectants. We are also bleaching all of our linens and towels. In the kitchen we always run every implement used by our guests and in cooking through an extremely hot sanitize cycle in the dishwasher.

From a social distancing standpoint, we are in a fairly isolated area of small-town Nipomo. There are only six rooms total on site. Two of which are isolated in the garden, offering natural isolation from other guests. We are also happy for our guests to take breakfast in their rooms as a means of further social distancing. If you have any questions or concerns about an upcoming trip with us please call at (805) 929-5444. We will be happy to address any and all concerns.

Kaleidoscope Inn History

The Kaleidoscope Inn was constructed of redwood in 1887 by retired rancher Vitalis Runels.

In 1902, Joseph & Todie Dana (of the historic California Dana family) bought the home. It remained in the Dana family until the 1960's.

From the 1960's until 1987, the home was used as an antique store and a private residence.

In 1987, Bill and Patty Linane lovingly restored the home and gardens and began operating the Bed and Breakfast as well as hosting weddings, receptions, and other special events in the gardens.

In early 2002, Kevin Beauchamp and Carolayne Holley Beauchamp purchased the Inn and have been busy spending their free time working in the gardens ever since!

The Kaleidoscope Inn. Each window of the house is bordered in stained glass. This glass creates a "kaleidoscope" effect as sunlight streams into the home. As a result, the Linane's christened their restored Victorian home The Kaleidoscope Inn.
